Meet the Bloggers 2013

Meet our Environmental Summit 2013 Bloggers

JaneCameron Williamson
Hey, I'm JaneCameron Williamson! I'm a rising sophomore at Uwharrie Charter Academy and I've always been interested in environmental science. I live out in the country, and I see a lot of environmental problems all around us. I believe in finding new techniques to help earth and even ourselves. The earth doesn't accommodate us; we accommodate the earth.

Lila Welsh
I'm Lila. I'm a senior at Ravenscroft High School in Raleigh, NC. I have been interested in the environment ever since I took the AP Environmental Science class at my school and I found my passion for it. I believe that we need to help the environment because we're not saving the planet, we're saving ourselves because the earth can go on without us but we need the earth to stay the way it is for us to survive.
Leah Picciano
Hi there! My name is Leah. I am 17 years old and live in Miami, Florida. I would like to have a career in either veterinarian medicine or environmental activism. I would like for people to see the every part of the Earth as something beautiful, no matter how dangerous or disgusting it might be. I would love for people to see the Earth as I do; something to be loved and protected and not destroyed for its resources.
Nique Gray
Hey everyone! Angel here! My real name is Niqua Gray and I like purple, poetry, and animals. I am 14 years old and from burlington NC. I love the environment and the environment loves me, and I want to keep it that way. That means keeping it clean and helping it just like what it does for us.I am a pisces and I love to eat. I hope that in the future there is absolutely no animal abuse at all. I love animals especially the big cats, cheetahs, lions, panthers, and others. I also love imagination. Imagination is good for you but too much of it and it will become real, but only for them. I have enjoyed being at the environmental project. It is sooo fun! I encourage people to try and go out and do things like this too. Espescially the ones in the living room on their couches, watching tv, or playing videogames. I mean come on, they are enjoyable but, FOR REAL??? :) LOVE U WORLD!!!

Katie Trischman
Oh my gosh, like, hey! Katie Trischman here and I’m like totally psyched! Just kidding, we don’t all talk like that in my lovely hometown of San Diego, California. You might be wondering what a Californian is doing in North Carolina, but it’s simple: I love nature. Animals in particular, but the environment in general has always fascinated me. I’m not just a nature nerd though, I am also interested in art such as writing, drawing, and painting and I like engineering. I hope to combine my interests in the future by majoring in wildlife biology and landscape architecture in order to pursue a career in zoo exhibit designing or habitat restoration. I hope to learn valuable skills at this summit that will enable me to lead projects so that I may one day do my share to help the environment.
