Aaliyah is a YouTuber, artist, and student. She has been creating public content since 2012 as well as creating an audience from all over the world. She will be in leadership in various extra-curricular activities this year as well as going through the approval processes of beginning new clubs throughout the coming school year.

My name is Emilee Rae Hibshman. I am a rising junior at Salisbury High School. I enjoy photography and writing. I hope to one day become an investigative journalist and author. My interest in Environmental Science began in both my STEM program at my school and my AP Environmental class where we helped beautify the campus and inform others about sustainability.










Serena Musselwhite

Hi, I'm Serena Musselwhite. I went to Rowan County Early College and have an Associate's Degree in Arts. I am going to Catawba this Fall as a high school graduate and college sophomore transfer. I will major in environmental science and I plan on getting a Bachelor's in Environmental Science. I have went to several summer camps at Catawba and am very familiar with the campus. I have volunteered in the Center for the Environment building. I enjoy going to the Redesigning Our Future summit and this year I am in the Green Reporting focus group.






Delaney O'Connor

Hi! I'm Delaney O'Connor and I'm from Hillsborough, NC. This fall I will be attending Cedar Ridge High School as a freshman. I enjoy cheerleading, soccer, photography and editing pictures. I became interested in environmental science at my school when I took an extra class that was subjected towards water treatment. I hope to share with more people about what I learn through pictures and other videos.

Hello my name is Julia Vaughan. I am a freshman at Cedar Ridge High School. I enjoy cheerleading and eating. I enjoy participating in automotive engineering, 3-D printing, and environmental studies. This camp tied all these studies into one, it has helped me go into writing and photography. I'm hoping to go into high school with all this recent information and new experience. Robin Emmons, Founder and Executive Director of  Sow Much Good  By Payton Coleman & Alia Dahlan On the first day of the National Environmental Summit 2014 , Robin Emmons spoke to around 50 excited campers on Catawba College campus.  After an introduction from President Brien Lewis and Dr. John Wear, the founder and executive director of Sow Much Good spoke about the start and success of her non-profit organization.  Her journey began when she realized that the homeless condition of her brother was detrimental to his health and well-being. After he was arrested for having a schizophrenic episode in public, Emmons gained guardianship of him and enrolled him in a mental health institute. We Did Eat Kudzu at Our Summer Summit

You Will Never Guess What We Are Getting Ready To Do Dr. Jay Bolin and His Invasive Plants and Animals Focus Group Eating Kudzu By Rafaello I went to a unique Discovery Group on Tuesday. It combined poison ivy and deep-frying. (No, we didn't deep-fry the ivy). The discovery session was called "Invasive Species and Biodiversity: Eating the Plant that ate the South!" and was taught by Dr. Jay Bolin, a biology professor here at Catawba College. Dr. Bolin started out the session by talking about specific invasive species , what they are, and how they work. He then told us we were going to go pick some kudzu . After walking for about 15 minutes (of which the last 5 minutes was through a lot of poison ivy), we got to the kudzu. Kudzu is a nasty plant. It is a vine that grows extremely fast, and basically on anything. I saw some kudzu climbing up trees basically everywhere. Meet Our Energetic and Hard-Working Counselors 2015 Meet our counselors for 2015. Camp couldn't run without these high energy college students who live and breathe camp for a week every summer. From setting up events to late night dorm checks and cleaning up messes to coming up with fun ideas, these young people deserve a high five. Counselors this year include Payden Mitchell, Ashley Everidge, Mary Scott Norris, Brinsley Stewart (head counselor), Seth Stephens, Deep Dave, Hannah Davis, and Forest Fugate.
